Benchmark Recovery Center Supports Launch of Gram Parsons Foundation

Benchmark Recovery Center (BRC) is proud to announce its sponsorship of the launch event for the Gram Parsons Foundation, to be held March 14th, 2012 at The San Jose Hotel in Austin, TX.

The Gram Parsons Foundation was created to support musicians and artists worldwide with addiction and recovery services. Marsha Stone, CEO of BRC, stated, “We are honored to be a part of this important cause. Our support, at the highest corporate level, stems from a belief that recovery from addiction should be readily available to those in need. We have long stood hand-in-hand with those in recovery to end the stigma of addiction and are especially gratified to support musicians and artists who have suffered disproportionately in this arena.”

The event will officially launch at the Hotel San Jose parking lot from 12 noon to 8 pm. Numerous artists will be performing in celebration, including Blitzen Trapper, Brendan Benson, Cory Chisel & The Wandering Sons, Great Lake Swimmers, Alberta Cross, Poor Moon, Jenny O.,Shurman, Henry Wagons and Amy Cook. The event will be streamed live through VenueOne (www.venueone.com),a fusion of entertainment and socializing functionality that enable viewers to connect and engage with live music venues.

Benchmark Recovery Center, located outside Austin, TX, is a 90-day, gender-specific treatment facility designed to give residents the life skills they need to reclaim their lives and experience permanent sobriety. The current success rate of 73 percent is testimony to the depth and commitment of the Benchmark program.
