Benchmark Recovery Center recently constructed new gardens behind the women’s center where residents will tend to the very produce that will become a part of the daily menu. Keeping nutrition in the forefront, the gardens also allow residents to practice the daily disciplines that mean so much to us: community, growth and health.
With home-grown vegetables, (namely corn, bell peppers, cucumbers and of course, jalapeños) as well as little luck from Mother Nature, residents will reap the benefits body, mind and spirit. The garden also underscores what makes Benchmark Recovery different from other treatment centers: a hands-on approach to our cooking and health. One season at a time, we can begin to take responsibility in all areas of our lives. For more information, contact Benchmark Recovery Center.
